VideoSkins: An In-Depth Review

What could be a worse aesthetic-breaker to a beautifully made website other than site elements that are obviously foreign, like say, a plain black YouTube video player that doesn’t meld so well with your lighter colored Web 2.0 background? If only you have the skills to customize it to match the rest of your site or your own brand, right? Well, a new product from Brad Stephens and Sam Bakker promises to let you do just that.

This product, VideoSkins, promises to let you customize and manage your video player according to your tastes. It is a software as a service (SaaS) tool that comes in the form of a web-based drag and drop player builder. As if this doesn’t make the customization process sound so easy, the software also comes with built in video templates that can still be edited to your liking.

VideoSkins allows you to customize virtually every element of the video player. This includes animations, custom images, forms, playback bars, playback buttons, social icons, and text, to name a handful of all the player elements that you can personalize. The interface that allows you to do this looks clean and only takes the basic knowledge of the mouse’s functions to use.

The product will go live on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at 11:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time, and it will come at the price of $47. We will review this product on that date, so if you are interested, simply bookmark this page and come back in the 22nd for our review.
