Plugin Review: WP Rapid Protect

If you are in the business of selling information products, the first thing that you have to make sure of is that your wares are completely protected. This is a problem to many, especially those who are new to the business. Barry Rodgers, however, will be attempting to provide a new solution with his latest plugin, the WP Rapid Protect.

This plugin is touted to be a very customer-friendly way to protect your download pages. It sets up protection to your download page mere seconds after installation, and it uses cookies to make sure that only the customer that paid for a certain product has access to the downloadable material. This, in turn, means that unless you are using the customer’s PC, you will not be able to steal the information they have purchased. On the downside, this would likely mean that it will not be possible for the customer to download their purchase in any computer other than the one they’ve used to purchase the item, but we’re hoping that the plugin has a way around that that’s not a call to customer support.

We have high hopes that Barry will deliver with this plugin, but we will know for sure whether or not it is a good buy once it goes live on May 31, 2016, at 10:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time. This plugin will be available for $9.97 by then, and this price is expected to go up to $17 during the course of the launch.
